On this classic Iceland day tour, drive along the distinctive south coast of Iceland until the beautiful waterfall of
Seljalandsfoss comes into view. Walk the path leading up to this elegant waterfall and be prepared to take plenty of photos! If you choose to walk behind its plumeting stream of water, take care as the ground can be damp and uneven but the views, and the sound, from behind the waterfall are amazing.
From here, carry on to
Thorsmork, a wide valley named after Thor, the Viking God of Thunder. Drive into this beautiful valley, surrounded on three sides by steep mountains, and cross raging rivers and gentle streams, pass caves and giant bolders and stop at a glacial lagoon. Walk around the shores of the lagoon and possibly hike to the edge of the impressive glacier as it spills down from the summit of a volcano.
You will also have time to walk amongst the wooded surrounds and perhaps head to the top for some magnificent panoramic views.
Thorsmork is Icelands most popular hiking area and it is breathtaking. Visitors cannot fail to be in awe of its natural beauty and captivated by its charm. Drive back to the capital after a thoroughly exhillarating superjeep excursion.
